John Page introduced Upledger CranioSacral Therapy to the UK and Ireland in 1994 when he and his wife Carol founded The Upledger Institute UK (UIUK). Since then UIUK has introduced the work also to Greece, Iceland, Israel, Norway and South Africa. He has also taught in Canada, Hong Kong and the USA. In 2010 They retired from UIUK and formed The Upledger Institute UK Overseas (UIUKO) which supports Upledger training in Greece and Poland.
Qualified in Osteopathy in 1978, after 10 years he trained in Cranial Osteopathy, qualifying in 1989, before starting his CranioSacral Therapy training in the same year with The Upledger Institute in the USA, much of it with Dr Upledger himself. John is an internationally certified instructor and an examiner with the Upledger Institute, and was founder chairman of the UK’s Cranio Sacral Society.
Having built and developed natural health practices in England and Scotland, his adoptive country, John is now virtually retired from therapy, retaining a limited practice based in Perth, and at home in a small Perthshire village.
Although still intrigued by the way the light touch of CranioSacral therapy can have profound benefits for biomechanical problems, what John finds most rewarding is its use in helping people resolve the emotional issues that can often lead to chronic ill-health or otherwise to lack of fulfilment.
