Certification Process
Visceral Manipulation Certification through the Barral Institute is much more than a credential. The VM Certification credential establishes you as a dedicated professional with the knowledge and skills to uphold high standards of excellence. VM Certification increases your networking and referral status, as your colleagues and potential clients see your commitment to excellence.

There are two levels in the Visceral Manipulation Certification Program:

  • Techniques Level – CVTP – Certified Visceral Techniques Practitioner. This covers VM1-VM4 and LT1.
  • Visceral Manipulation Level – CVMP – Certified Visceral Manipulation Practitioner. This covers VM5-VM6.

Techniques Certification Level (CVTP)


Earn your certification in Visceral Manipulation from the Barral Institute - and assure patients your training comes from a place of excellence. If you are interested in becoming a Certified Visceral Techniques Practitioner, by earning the Techniques Certification Level, read the following information before contacting our office to begin. CVTP Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the following seminars: VM1-2 (Abdomen1-2), VM3 (The Thorax), VM4 (The Pelvis) and LT1 (Listening Techniques 1).
  • Successfully complete a Techniques-level at-home objective exam for each VM1-4 class level.
  • Submit five (5) case write-ups following the required format.
  • Successfully complete a practical/oral/written exam with a Certified BI Examiner that tests your ability to understand and apply VM techniques from class levels VM1-VM4 and LT1.

Techniques Certification: Allows you to use the professional designation "CVTP" in your title.

  • Successfully complete the following seminars: VM5 (Manual Thermal Evaluation and Introduction to VisceroEmotional) and VM6 (VisceroEmotional Relationships)
  • Successfully complete at-home objective exam for each class level.
  • Submit five (5) case write-ups following the required format.
  • Successfully complete a practical/oral/written exam with a Certified BI Examiner that tests your ability to understand and apply VM techniques from class levels VM5-VM6.

Diplomate Certification: Allows you to use the professional designation "CVMP" in your title.

Notes:

The work and practice required to pass these exams is very thorough and we fully support and encourage anyone willing to go the distance! As we said, these steps are not obligatory for most as the Barral courses are post graduate, therefore most people practice under the guidelines and insurance of their core therapies.
